Pick the path that fits you

Choose your computer, your work style and your role, then take only the exams that matter. Freelancers and founders can mix paths — for example a Mac creative path plus terminal and AI badges.

The modular idea

  1. Layer 1
    Core
Small shared base everyone takes (about 45 min)
  2. Layer 2
    Platform path
    Windows | macOS | Linux/Server
  3. Layer 3
    Audience path
    Tech | Non-tech
  4. Layer 4
    Role profile
Industry-specific bundle of modules with target levels
  5. Layer 5
    Specialization
Optional deep dives (Excel Expert, Git Master, Shell Scripting…)
  • Pick one platform path (or more if you use more) and one audience path. You never need to pass modules outside your chosen path.
  • Modules are the unit of certification; a path certificate needs the minimum level across all its modules.
  • A role profile applies weights and floors to your module results — no retesting when a weight changes.
  • Not sure? The placement test recommends a path.

More credentials

  • Grandmaster — L4+ in four or more modules across paths.
  • Specialist badges — Excel Expert, Git Master, Shell Scripting Expert.
  • Role Readiness certificates — meet a role profile's score and floors, e.g. “Finance Productivity Professional L3”.
